Now
What we're working on right now.
-
A smoother first run
Making the very first launch calmer — clearer permission steps and less to think about before your first recording lands.
-
Model-prep you can watch
Honest progress while the on-device models download and warm up, so the first-run wait never feels like nothing is happening.
-
Feedback from inside the app
A quick way to tell us what's working and what isn't, without leaving Oris to find a form.
Next
Planned, and coming after Now.
-
A history of your recordings
A place inside the app to see past recordings and their notes at a glance, instead of hunting through your vault.
-
This changelog, in the app
Surfacing what just shipped where you already are — so a new version explains itself.
Later
On the map, a little further out.
-
Live transcription
ProWatch the transcript build as the conversation happens, not only after you stop.
-
Per-speaker labels
Tell the people on the other side of the call apart, instead of pooling everyone under one label.

-
A heads-up when a bigger model is on its way
Long recordings summarize with a larger on-device model that downloads on first use — Oris now tells you that's happening instead of looking stuck.
-
Safer summary retries in busy notes · minor
Retrying a failed summary in a note holding several recordings can no longer touch a neighboring recording's text — the retry now verifies exactly which block it owns before writing.
-
Clearer setup while Obsidian loads the plugin · minor
The setup walkthrough now says it's waiting for Obsidian instead of suggesting a re-install that isn't needed.
-
A roadmap you can read
This page — a public look at what we're building next, what just shipped, and a place to tell us what you'd like to see.
-
See your notification status at a glance
Oris now shows whether it can send you a heads-up when a note lands, so you're never left wondering if a recording finished quietly in the background.
-
Bring in an existing recording
Point Oris at a Voice Memo, or a Zoom or Teams export, and it transcribes and summarizes it into a note — no need to re-record.
Missing something? tell us.
Oris is shaped by the people using it. If there's something you wish it did, send it over — it lands straight in the founder's inbox. Leave an email if you'd like a reply.
got it.
Thanks — your suggestion is on its way to us. We read every one, and it genuinely helps shape what gets built next.
