roadmap

Built in the open.

Here's what we're working on, what just shipped, and where things are headed — and a place to tell us what you'd like to see.

Now · Next · Later

Now

What we're working on right now.

  • A smoother first run

Making the very first launch calmer — clearer permission steps and less to think about before your first recording lands.

  • Model-prep you can watch

Honest progress while the on-device models download and warm up, so the first-run wait never feels like nothing is happening.

  • Feedback from inside the app

A quick way to tell us what's working and what isn't, without leaving Oris to find a form.

Next

Planned, and coming after Now.

  • A history of your recordings

A place inside the app to see past recordings and their notes at a glance, instead of hunting through your vault.

  • This changelog, in the app

Surfacing what just shipped where you already are — so a new version explains itself.

Later

On the map, a little further out.

  • Live transcription

    Pro

Watch the transcript build as the conversation happens, not only after you stop.

  • Per-speaker labels

Tell the people on the other side of the call apart, instead of pooling everyone under one label.

Recently shipped

  1. See your notification status at a glance

Oris now shows whether it can send you a heads-up when a note lands, so you're never left wondering if a recording finished quietly in the background.

  2. Fresher stats · minor

The Your Oris card updates more reliably, so the numbers you glance at reflect what you've actually recorded.

  3. Safer imports

Importing an existing audio file is now more careful about how it handles the file on disk — quiet under-the-hood hardening so bringing in a Voice Memo or a Zoom export stays safe.

Oris updates itself — new versions arrive automatically in the background. Read the longer stories on the blog.

Oris is shaped by the people using it. If there's something you wish it did, send it over — it lands straight in the founder's inbox. Leave an email if you'd like a reply.

One quiet email to the team. No account, no list — just your idea.
